Binance, one of the leading cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced its support for the upcoming network upgrades of Terra Classic ($LUNC) and Kava ($KAVA). The upgrades are expected to improve the functionality and security of these blockchain networks, ensuring a smoother process for Binance users.
Terra Classic $LUNC Network Upgrade
The Terra Classic (LUNC) network upgrade is scheduled to take place at the Terra Classic block height of 12,812,900, estimated to occur at approximately 2023-05-17 14:03 (UTC). To facilitate a smooth transition, Binance will suspend deposits and withdrawals for LUNC and USTC via the Terra Classic network starting from 2023-05-17 13:30 (UTC). It is important to note that the trading of LUNC, USTC, and other assets will not be affected during this network upgrade.
Binance will handle all the technical requirements involved in the network upgrade for its users who hold LUNC, USTC, and KAVA in their Binance accounts. Once the upgraded network is deemed stable, Binance will reopen deposits and withdrawals for LUNC, USTC, and KAVA. Users will not receive a separate notification regarding this matter.
Kava Network Upgrade
Simultaneously, Binance will also support the network upgrade of Kava ($KAVA) at the Kava block height of 4,832,500, estimated to occur around 2023-05-17 15:00 (UTC). As part of the upgrade process, deposits and withdrawals of $KAVA will be temporarily suspended from 2023-05-17 14:30 (UTC) onwards. However, trading activities involving KAVA will continue uninterrupted during the network upgrade.
