Warped Games, a web3 and veteran game development studio, has partnered with Mysten Labs to create an immersive blockchain-powered game called Warped Universe. The game will allow players to shape the environment and influence seasons through their actions and decisions. Warped Games selected Sui as the blockchain to support this vision due to its user-friendly approach and innovations in the Move language.
Warped Universe focuses on player empowerment, allowing users to engage in PvE action in single or co-op mode with a choice of turn-based or real-time genres. The game aims to break down barriers to blockchain accessibility by offering a seamless, user-friendly experience and enabling players to connect their own self-custodied wallets.
Sui’s Move language and object model will allow Warped Universe to create dynamic, context-rich NFTs that evolve with each player’s journey, while Kiosk and Walrus protocols will enhance marketplace experiences and digital ownership, respectively. Sui’s high throughput and low transaction costs make it ideal for handling the high transaction volumes required in Warped Universe, and its environmentally sustainable directed acyclic graph (DAG) architecture aligns with Warped Games’ vision of a responsible gaming ecosystem.
