Chain abstraction is a user experience that eliminates the need for manual interaction with multiple chains. It is not the same as cross-chain bridges, multi-chain wallets, or account abstractions, though these technologies may play a role in its development. Chain abstraction is not just about UX optimization, but it fundamentally transforms the traditional TVL model into a fluid, real-time multi-chain ecosystem.
It does not increase gas fees and does not pose additional security risks. The current perception that only a few head chains have traffic is wrong, as there are many L2s, new EVM L1s, and active non-EVM ecosystems. Chain abstraction can solve fragmentation problems for both users and developers. While there may be different perspectives on chain abstraction, it is a clearly defined and rapidly developing track with real needs, and it will eventually benefit everyone and lead to the next wave of industry innovation.
