Trump: US cryptocurrency entrepreneurs will “live in hell” if he is not elected

According to BlockBeats, on September 17, Decrypt reported that Trump said at the launch of his cryptocurrency platform World Liberty Financial that if he fails to win a second term in November this year, those American cryptocurrency entrepreneurs who are being investigated by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) “will live in hell.” Trump bluntly stated: “If I don’t win the election, those who are now under investigation but are still free, and those who have not yet been paid attention to in the cryptocurrency world, they will live in hell-because if they (the opponent) win, this situation will start the day after the election.”

Trump criticized the “extremely hostile” regulatory approach to the cryptocurrency industry under SEC Chairman Gary Gensler. Trump believes that regulators’ attitude toward the industry has improved since his involvement in the cryptocurrency industry, which he attributed to vote considerations. Although the Biden administration has recently softened its stance on cryptocurrency regulation, Trump’s Democratic opponent Kamala Harris has not yet provided specific details on her approach to cryptocurrency regulation.
