❯ Cryptocurrency companies in the US have paid almost US$32 billion in enforcement action settlements since 2019. The largest settlements are against FTX and its trading affiliate Alameda for $12.7 billion, Celsius at $4.7 billion, Terraform Labs at $4.5 billion and Binance at $4.3 billion. Cryptocurrency enforcement actions are seeing a surge in the last two years, with 16 of the total 25 settlements occurring since late 2022. Of those 25 settlements, the most amount of money was secured this year alone, amounting to $19.45 billion and showing no signs of decreasing scrutiny of the cryptocurrency industry.
