MicroStrategy’s Michael Saylor Spreads False Information About Trump’s Cryptocurrency Policy

MicroStrategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor recently shared a misleading post about former President Donald Trump’s stance on cryptocurrency with his 3.6 million followers on social platform X, as reported by Cointelegraph on October 31. The post, which originated from a social account named Basedkarbon on October 28, falsely claimed that Trump supported the elimination of taxes on cryptocurrency and recognized Bitcoin as currency. The misinformation was subsequently circulated by several prominent cryptocurrency social accounts, including Kraken and Bitcoin Archive. While Trump did propose eliminating the federal income tax during a recent appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast, he did not discuss digital assets or related policies.
