BlockBeats news reported on October 7 that there has been a surge of MEME tokens inspired by the late cryptographer Len Sassaman circulating on Solana, Ethereum, and Bitcoin networks. Speculators on Polymarket even speculate that Sassaman may have been one of the mysterious creators of Bitcoin, known as Satoshi Nakamoto.

Last week, traders created LEN tokens on Solana and Ethereum, briefly pushing their market cap into the millions before experiencing a gradual decline. Another LEN token, issued over four months ago as the first on Solana, saw a price surge this week, surpassing $1.6 million by Monday.

Some enthusiasts have even taken an interest in Sassaman’s cat, SASHA, and have developed a MEME token in her honor. Others believe that another cat named Odin was Sassaman’s original furry friend, as mentioned by his wife Patterson on her blog.

The SASHA token on Ethereum and Solana has generated a market cap exceeding $5 million in the previous week. Cryptocurrency users have reached out to Patterson on X to learn more about the MEME token, receiving a Solana address in return for token contributions.
