BlockBeats news, on October 3, according to crowdfundinsider, Layer completed a $6 million seed round of financing. This round of financing was led by 1kx, with participation from Fabric Ventures, Arrington Capital and IOBC. Angel investors include EigenLayer’s Sreeram Kannan, Ether.fi’s Rok Kopp and Mike Silagadze and former BlackRock employee Paul Taylor.
It is reported that Layer uses Web Assembly to allow developers to use languages such as rust to write applications that can run anywhere – even on the iPhone. Layer’s upcoming product “Layer SDK” allows developers to build a new layer on top of Ethereum to run full-stack blockchain applications, including smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, UI and verifiable off-chain services.
