In India, police have arrested a man they believe helped hackers steal $234 million in cryptocurrency from a trading platform called WazirX. The hackers allegedly tried to access the cold wallet, which holds funds offline for extra security. The police also seized three laptops used by people who help manage the platform’s wallets.
The situation is complicated because the firm responsible for securing the wallets isn’t cooperating with the investigation. According to the police, no evidence suggests unauthorized remote access to the platform.
