Google ditches Kaspersky from Play Store.

Google has recently removed Kaspersky’s antivirus software from the Play Store as part of international sanctions and US cybersecurity concerns. The move restricts Android users from downloading or updating Kaspersky’s security apps through official channels due to the company’s alleged ties to the Russian government and concerns about cybersecurity risks.

This decision by Google comes after a lengthy investigation into the potential impact of Russian government cyber attack capabilities on Kaspersky’s products. Although users can still access Kaspersky apps through alternative app stores or by downloading from the company’s website, the removal from the Google Play Store could hinder future growth and market share for the antivirus provider.
