An Ethereum researcher, Justin Drake, posted about a possible solution for the blockchain’s scalability issues. He mentioned a redesign of the Ethereum consensus layer, which some people believe could solve these problems. On November 12, he will share more details at an event in Bangkok, Thailand.
Some in the community believe this could be the start of an ETH 3.0 upgrade. However, not everyone agrees with this speculation. Ethereum CEO Joe Lubin also discussed possible solutions, such as revisiting execution sharding and using zkEVM at layer-1. This could lead to better scalability and more transactions per second, but it may take several years for full implementation.
