Della Larsen is a woman diagnosed with ALS who uses voice banking technology to record her voice and preserve it for future generations. Through this technology, she has recorded herself reading 30 children’s books and linked each book with a QR code to a private audio recording. This allows her family, especially her grandchildren, to hear her voice as a comforting presence.
Larsen’s initiative has been inspiring for others facing similar challenges, and she has received recognition for her efforts, including the Mary Lou Krauseneck Courage & Love Award from the ALS Therapy Development Institute.
