Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, made his first public appearance since being released from prison at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai. The former CEO of Binance served four months in prison for anti-money laundering violations, an experience that has reshaped his perspective on life and business.
In an interview with Austin Arnold of Altcoin Daily, CZ discussed his time in prison and his future plans. While he can no longer be involved in Binance’s daily operations, he remains a shareholder and maintains a good relationship with the company.
CZ’s return has generated excitement in the crypto world, where he is seen as a key figure in the industry’s history. He expressed a bullish outlook on crypto for the coming year and a readiness to start a new chapter.
Following CZ’s appearance, Binance’s native token BNB faced selling pressure, trading around $578, close to its 50-day simple moving average. However, technical indicators suggest the possibility of a rally to $635 if the price rises from current levels. The 50-day SMA remains a crucial support level, with significant downside potential if it fails to hold.
