On November 1st, Cointelegraph reported that CleanSpark, a Bitcoin mining company, increased its mining capacity by 50 megawatts after acquiring US infrastructure company GRIID. This puts CleanSpark closer to its goal of achieving 400 megawatts of production capacity in the coming years.
U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty welcomed CleanSpark to Tennessee, stating that the state is “a great place to grow your business” and has become “one of the epicenters of the U.S. Bitcoin industry.” In September, CleanSpark announced the purchase of seven mining facilities and related land in the Knoxville area of Tennessee, which increased the company’s computing power by 22%. The company also reported in its fiscal year report released on October 4th that its computing power increased by 187% over the past 12 months.
Overall, CleanSpark is making significant strides in expanding its Bitcoin mining operations and making Tennessee a key player in the US Bitcoin market.
