Bitcoin Price Recovers to $59K, UNI Increases 20%

Today Bitcoin rebounded above the $60,000 after an overnight drop. The currency tumbled once again but recovered its losses, now standing over the $60,000 threshold. Most altcoins show gains on a daily scale; however, BNB decreased by 2%. The current price jump follows a brief slide over the past week. Despite minor recovery, Bitcoin is down by 1% over the week, reducing its market capitalisation to slightly under $1.2tn and dropping its dominance of altcoins to 53.9% on CoinGecko.

A number of altcoins charted minor gains over the past 24 hours, including ETH, SOL, XRP, TON, DOGE, ADA, and AVAX, however BNB, TRX and SHIB experienced losses. Today’s top performers amongst the larger-cap altcoins include UNI and IMX which each saw gains of 4% on the day. Despite these modest victories, the total crypto market capitalisation has slightly decreased over the past 24 hours to currently $2.220tn.
