The FBI Atlanta Division has warned that cybercriminals are getting around multifactor authentication by stealing “Remember-Me cookies” from victims’ computers. These cookies allow users to stay logged in without re-entering their credentials or MFA. Once hackers have these cookies, they can use them to get into the victim’s accounts and steal their information.
The FBI says that users should be careful about using the “Remember this device” option and should clear their cookies regularly to protect their accounts.
