On September 24, BlockBeats reported significant activity from a cryptocurrency whale, as monitored by EmberCN. The whale recently exchanged 640 Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) for 15,040 staked Ether (stETH), amounting to approximately $40.45 million. This transaction occurred when the ETH/BTC exchange rate was 0.0425, reflecting the whale’s strategic trading decisions in a fluctuating market.
Previously, this whale had converted ETH to WBTC in August, when the ETH/BTC exchange rate was 0.0435. Following the recent exchange, the whale continues to hold 15,040 stETH, valued at around $39.8 million, alongside 516 WBTC, which is approximately worth $32.6 million.
In addition to these transactions, the address has also made notable investments in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. Between August 21 and September 4, the whale purchased 125,605 AAVE tokens at a price of $127 each. Currently, these holdings have yielded a floating profit of up to $5.75 million, representing a 36% increase.
