In the first ten months of 2024, interest in moving from the US increased by 500% compared to the same period in 2020. The main drivers of this trend are concerns about political and social unrest, regardless of the election outcome.
Wealthy individuals spend up to 10% of their wealth on investment residency programs, also known as “golden visas.” The most popular countries for these programs are Portugal, Greece, and the United Arab Emirates. Henley & Partners, the consulting firm, has seen a significant increase in interest in their services due to the political climate in the US.
