On November 7, Nordea Bank reported that the United States election results will likely lead to most of Trump’s campaign promises being fulfilled. As a result, the Fed may cut interest rates by 25 basis points in November and December due to current restrictive rates. While the impact of Trump’s policies on inflation will take time to show in CPI data, we can expect to see changes in hiring and immigration early next year.
The Fed may cut rates by another 25 basis points in March 2021, but no cuts are expected in 2025.
