Trump’s HHS Pick, Bitcoin Advocate, Aims to Stabilize Dollar

On November 15, The Block reported that US President-elect Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Bitcoin supporter, as the US Secretary of Health and Human Services. During his 2024 presidential campaign, Kennedy supported a Bitcoin strategic reserve to stabilize the USD and exempt Bitcoin gains from capital gains tax.

Trump expects him to make America healthy again and fight corruption in food and drugs. Other Trump team members supporting cryptocurrencies include Vice President-elect J.D. Vance and Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth. Tesla CEO Musk and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy will lead the new government efficiency department “DOGE”.

Market rumors also suggest Robinhood Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher might become chairman of the US Securities and Exchange Commission, replacing Gary Gensler, who has a tough stance on the encryption industry.
