Reuters has reported that US President-elect Trump did not invite former US Trade Representative Lighthizer to serve as the post again, according to two sources. This is contrary to a report by the Financial Times, which stated that Lighthizer had been invited to serve again as U.S. Trade Representative.
One of the two sources said that the Financial Times report was “untrue”. Both sources spoke on condition of anonymity, and Lighthizer declined to comment on the report or on deliberations within the Trump transition team regarding Cabinet positions.
