Trump Linked DeFi Venture Doubles Aave’s Treasury

World Liberty Financial DeFi project may add hundreds of millions to Ghost DAO, if approved

This week, Donald Trump affiliated DeFi project World Liberty Financial (WLF) has shown potential to add hundreds of millions, if not billions, into Ghost DAO’s treasury. WLF, if DeFi protocol Aave supports a pending proposal, would deploy what is called an Aave instance, providing Ethereum & Wrapped Bitcoin liquidity by leveraging traditional finance on Ethereum Mainnet. Expected benefits from this include significant revenue, growth of potential users, and onboard assets that are not normally compatible via Ethereum Mainnet.

Former President Trump’s ex-project sees the possibilities of this integration to Aave extremely profitable, as the project is now valued at $1.8 billion as per analysts. This brings the Aave DAO revenues to around 40% of the WLF protocol share, and around $100 Million in treasury due to WLF’s project valuation. As it was noted by the Aave Chain Initiative founder Marc Zeller, this integration is a strategic move for Aave and doubles its treasury overnight making it “the deal of a century”.

On the financial side, Aave holds approximately a $60 Million treasury in assets, however considering the valuation of WLF, it can add tremendous value to Aave’s treasury. WLF, even now, is seen as profitable, with its valuation seen as the largest lending protocol having over $20 billion in crypto assets locked across 13 public chains.

This potential change in the protocol, allows WLF to aim at more than just Ethereum networks, but also to aim at chains like Scroll. WLF plans to run different instances on public chains like Ethereum targeting large institutional investors, and Scroll, a ZK-rollup, having paymaster services to offer cheaper gas-free transactions to regular users.

As of press time, it’s unconfirmed whether WLF’s revenue-sharing proposal will be authorized by Aave, however Trump’s project appears to maintain a strong potential impact on Aave’s treasury if it proves successful.
