The US has offered $15 million for information on the Conti ransomware.

The Department of State has issued two separate $15 million rewards for information on the Conti ransomware organised crime gang. As of 2021, the total amount paid in ransom was still above $600 million. Conti holds first position in the report’s top 10 ransomware strains by income, extorting at least $180 million from its victims.

The Conti ransomware organisation has roughly 350 members and has been active for almost two years. Since 2020, it has been able to collect almost $2.7 billion in ransom.

The organisation launched an attack on the Costa Rican government on April 21, 2022, targeting at least five government departments. Cyberint experts observed that the company has implemented a well-managed organisational structure.
