Taiko, a Layer 2 blockchain solution, has recently integrated Zero-Knowledge (ZK) proofs into its mainnet to improve security and scalability. Taiko’s multi-proof architecture includes various proof types, such as Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) proofs, and the integration of ZK proofs complements this architecture.
Taiko Beats, the fallback proposer, will require 3 out of every 100 blocks to use ZK proofs, with a goal to transition fully to a ZK-Rollup model by the end of 2025. Taiko’s future roadmap involves expanding ZK proof coverage and integrating additional zkVMs and TEEs to enhance security and scalability in the crypto industry.
