Western Exploration Inc. to Expand Resources at Aura Project in Nevada
Gold explorer Western Exploration Inc. has announced that it will use data from surface exploration work at its flagship project in Nevada to help target its drilling as it develops three different deposits on the site. The company has released the results of surface exploration work at the Gravel Creek resource area of its Aura project in Nevada. The information from rock geochemistry and detailed structural mapping from 2022 will be used to target drilling with an eye on northeast-trending structural zones where there have been multiple high-grade gold and silver vein intercepts.
Western Exploration CEO Darcy Marud said, “Western Exploration has long believed in the potential to greatly expand resources within the Wood Gulch/Gravel Creek mineralized system. This data gives us additional confidence in our exploration model and will help us to focus our drilling efforts in the most prospective areas.”
The Aura project is located in the prolific Walker Lane trend of western Nevada, which hosts several world-class gold deposits. The project covers over 10,000 acres and includes three separate deposits: Gravel Creek, East Ridge, and West Ridge. The company plans to continue exploration and drilling at the site in order to expand resources and advance the project towards production.
Investors have been closely watching Western Exploration’s progress at the Aura project, as the company has reported several high-grade gold and silver intercepts in recent months. The company’s stock has seen a significant increase in value as a result, and many analysts believe that the company has the potential to become a major player in the gold mining industry.
