SOON Network Nears Public Launch

The Solana Optimistic Network (SOON) is on the cusp of launching its testnet, opening the doors for public testing. Developers and users can now begin exploring the SOON Devnet and engaging with its various functionalities.

Through the SOON Bridge UI, users can deposit and withdraw funds to the SOON Devnet. Additionally, the Devnet’s block browser is now accessible, allowing users to explore transactions, blocks, and other network data.

Key features available on the SOON Devnet include:

  • Cross-chain asset transfers to the SOON Devnet
  • Deployment of smart contracts
  • Exploration of the Devnet block browser

The SOON project has garnered significant support, with notable figures like Solana Foundation Chair Lily Liu, Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko, and Coinbase Ventures Director Jonathan King participating in its “cobuilder” funding round. While the specific funding amount remains undisclosed, the round’s focus on builders highlights the project’s commitment to fostering community involvement and development.

It is reported that the funds raised by Solana Optimistic Network will be used to build it into “the highest throughput rollup stack, providing scalability and efficiency for decentralized applications and any Layer 1 blockchain” by building the flagship products SOON Stack and SOON Mainnet.
