SBF’s ex-girlfriend, former Alameda CEO Caroline is highly cooperative in the FTX case and may receive a lenient sentence

BlockBeats reported on September 18 that Cointelegraph reported that SBF’s ex-girlfriend, former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison, will be sentenced on September 24. At the suggestion of US prosecutors, she may receive a lenient sentence.

U.S. prosecutors mentioned in court documents filed on September 17 that Ellison gave “high cooperation” in the case against former FTX CEO SBF and assisted in investigating “wrongful conduct by Alameda Research and FTX.” Prosecutors said she provided “credible and powerful testimony” to the trial and confessed to her serious misconduct in the FTX collapse. Prosecutors appear to blame SBF for most of the crimes in the indictment, but acknowledged that Ellison “voluntarily participated in misconduct” as CEO of Alameda. Ellison has previously pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud and money laundering, and his lawyers have requested a sentence of full prison time and three years of supervised release.
