Ronin Blockchain Faces Another Hack

In a recent turn of events, Ronin, the blockchain behind the popular game Axie Infinity, has faced yet another security breach. The suspected hack, which involves a loss of approximately $9.33 million, has sent ripples through the crypto community, reviving memories of the colossal breach from March 2022. Back then, Ronin Network lost 173,600 ETH and 25.5 million USDC, amounting to a staggering $610 million.

White Hats to the Rescue

Despite the alarming breach, there’s a silver lining. Ronin’s COO, Psycheout, announced that the team is currently investigating potential MEV (Miner Extractable Value) vulnerabilities reported by white hat hackers. In response to these reports, the Ronin Bridge has been suspended to prevent further losses and secure the network.

In a commendable move, a white hat hacker has already returned around $10 million in ETH. To incentivize further collaboration with ethical hackers, Ronin has launched a bug bounty program, offering a substantial reward of $500,000 for reporting critical vulnerabilities.
