Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO of Ripple, has expressed his concern that the US is falling behind other nations in the crypto industry due to regulatory uncertainty. In an interview with Bloomberg, Garlinghouse compared the potential of crypto to that of the internet, which the US embraced in the 1990s despite its relative unknown status at the time. He pointed out that countries such as Australia, Japan, Singapore, the UK, and Switzerland have already implemented comprehensive rules for the crypto sector, which has encouraged investors and entrepreneurs to operate on their soil. Garlinghouse urged the American government, specifically the SEC, to follow suit and create clear rules of the road for the crypto industry.
