In response to an airdrop dilution caused by third-party data errors, Puffer Finance has stepped up, purchasing 476,458 EIGEN for $1.87 million USDC on-chain just 3 hours ago, according to data from Ember Monitoring. BlockBeats news reported on October 1 that Puffer took this action to fully compensate users affected by the miscalculated airdrops.
The dilution occurred due to inaccuracies in data provided by zkLink Nova, which impacted some Puffer users’ EIGEN airdrops. To resolve the issue, Puffer purchased the tokens from the secondary market at its own expense. Additionally, Puffer announced that they will issue extra PUFFER airdrops to all users as a further compensation measure.
