NVIDIA and SoftBank have joined forces to boost Japan’s AI capabilities and enhance the country’s global tech leadership. SoftBank is constructing Japan’s most powerful AI supercomputer using the NVIDIA Blackwell platform, with plans to integrate the NVIDIA Grace Blackwell platform in future projects.
NVIDIA and SoftBank are also working together on an AI marketplace, using the NVIDIA AI Enterprise software, to offer localized, secure AI computing and support AI training and edge AI inference. SoftBank has also been the first to receive NVIDIA DGX B200 systems, which will be used in its DGX SuperPOD supercomputer to support generative AI development for businesses and academic institutions.
This collaboration is expected to generate significant revenue opportunities for telecom operators globally by transforming base stations into AI-based assets.
