On October 11, Korean NFT artist DeeKay Kwon experienced a security breach during a 14-hour flight from South Korea to New York. DeeKay suspects that the breach occurred due to a mnemonic leak, but luckily, none of his NFTs were affected. However, the hacker managed to steal some of his funds. This is not the first time DeeKay has faced financial challenges due to security breaches; in July 2022, hackers stole over $150,000 worth of NFTs from multiple victims, including DeeKay. The hackers used a phishing website to trick users into approving malicious transactions in order to obtain exclusive NFTs.
