As an investment management company, VanEck is launching a $30 million venture fund concentrating on digital assets and artificial intelligence. This early seed fund will support companies working at the intersection of fintech, digital assets, and AI. According to Jan van Eck, CEO of the company, VanEck has always held a long-term perspective on transformative opportunities, and this new venture extends that vision into the early-stage market. The fund’s primary focus will be on tokenized assets, on-chain marketplaces, and next-generation payment platforms. The general partner of VanEck Ventures, Wyatt Lonergan, expressed excitement about the investment potential as the internet is being reshaped by stablecoins, commoditization of blockspace, and AI breakthroughs. The fund is aiming to make 25 to 35 investments, ranging from $500,000 to $1 million.
