Michigan Expected to Announce Election Results Sooner Than Usual

According to CNN, officials in Michigan expect the state to announce final unofficial results of the election before noon on Wednesday, thanks to new regulations that allow clerks to process absentee ballots beginning on October 28th. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson told reporters that while things are a little different this year, the process is more efficient.

Workers began preprocessing ballots and feeding them into machines last week. Most areas in Michigan use Eastern Time, which is 13 hours behind Beijing time. 12 noon Eastern Time on Wednesday is 1 am Beijing time on November 7.
