On November 8, MakerDAO, the organization behind DAI, the oldest and largest algorithmic stablecoin based on Ethereum, voted to maintain its recent rebranding. The decision to keep the name Sky faced strong opposition from the outside world, but nearly 80% of the vote share supported retaining “Sky as the back-end protocol brand”.
Four entities accounted for almost all the vote share, with each entity having about 20% of the vote. Only one large entity opposed the proposal.
