Latvia’s Central Bank opens licensing consultation service for crypto asset service providers

According to BlockBeats, on September 9, Cointelegraph reported that the Central Bank of Latvia announced that it would provide pre-licensing consulting services to any local crypto asset service provider (CASP) seeking to obtain a license in the country in accordance with MiCA regulations.

From January 2025, the Central Bank of Latvia will be responsible for accepting applications and issuing licenses for CASPs in the country. Until then, the Central Bank of Latvia said it is helping companies prepare for the process through free pre-licensing consultations.
