Hyperbridge, a blockchain interoperability protocol, has officially launched on Polkadot, supporting Ethereum, Optimism, BNB Chain, and more. The $2.5 million seed funding was led by the Web3 Foundation and Scytale Digital, enabling Hyperbridge to deliver secure, scalable, and verifiable cross-chain solutions across multiple blockchains.
The protocol has completed two testnet cycles, with 600,000+ cross-chain messages processed and 66 independent relayers joining to facilitate message transfer across chains. At launch, Hyperbridge introduces Gateway, a token bridge for asset transfers, providing high security and instant access to multichain liquidity.
Security is a top priority, as Hyperbridge addresses challenges faced by conventional multisig bridges, which have previously resulted in over $2 billion in exploits. Hyperbridge uses zk-light clients and storage proofs to authenticate messages, ensuring a security model equivalent to the blockchains it connects.
Hyperbridge enables developers to launch cross-chain applications, supporting use cases such as non-custodial native bridges, cross-chain intents, and multichain expansion for stablecoins, real-world assets, and DAO governance tokens. Hyperbridge aims to be at the forefront of blockchain interoperability, offering developers and projects a reliable, secure, and scalable cross-chain infrastructure that opens new frontiers for DeFi, DAOs, and on-chain finance.
