Hyper Foundation Airdrops $1.6 Billion HYPE Token to Users

The Hyper Foundation has finished giving out HYPE tokens, which are special tokens for the Hyperliquid Network. This network is a fast and secure blockchain for DeFi. They gave out more than $1.6 billion worth of tokens based on the price of $5.40, which was the highest price since the network started.

Hyperliquid users got 31% of the total 1 billion HYPE tokens, and another 38.88% is saved for later. No tokens were given to private investors, exchanges, or market makers. Giving out $1.5 billion worth of tokens to people who use the network makes it the seventh-largest event like this in the history of crypto.

Some users got a lot of these tokens for free. Hyperliquid has a Perp DEX, which is a special trading place on its Hyperliquid blockchain. This network is called “performant, modern” and is very fast. Since March 2024, the DEX has made more than $334 billion in trades and is the seventh most popular DEX according to CoinGecko.

Since the launch, the price of HYPE has gone up 38% and is now worth $5.40, making it the 73rd most valuable token.
