StrikePoint Gold Inc. Expands Land Package at Cuprite Gold Project in Nevada
StrikePoint Gold Inc. has announced that it has more than doubled the land package at its Cuprite gold project in Nevada’s Walker Lane gold trend through staking. The company acquired a 100% interest in the project from Orogen Royalties Inc. in January.
The Cuprite gold project is an analog to AngloGold Ashanti Ltd.’s newly discovered Silicon gold project, which is located 75 kilometers away. The Silicon gold project has a maiden resource of 3.4 million ounces gold.
StrikePoint’s geological team has speculated that the alteration system at Cuprite continues under cover to the north and south of the current land package. The company plans to conduct further exploration to test this theory.
“We are excited to expand our land package at the Cuprite gold project and look forward to exploring the potential of this highly prospective area,” said Shawn Khunkhun, CEO of StrikePoint Gold Inc.
The Walker Lane gold trend is a highly prospective area for gold exploration, with several major gold deposits located in the region. StrikePoint’s Cuprite gold project is located in the heart of this trend and is expected to be a significant asset for the company.
