Hey there! Just wanted to share some recent news from BlockBeats. According to Cointelegraph, the cryptocurrency trading platform Gemini has made the decision to close all accounts in Canada by December 31. Canadian users were notified via email on September 30 and have 90 days to withdraw their assets from the platform.

This decision comes after new regulations were introduced by Canada’s financial regulator for cryptocurrency trading platforms. The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) mandated that all crypto-asset trading platforms must sign a legally binding pre-registration undertaking. Gemini submitted their pre-registration application on April 13 to comply with the regulations, but unfortunately, they will be exiting the Canadian market. Other trading platforms like OKX, dYdX, Paxos, Bybit, and Binance have also announced their withdrawal from Canada.
