Framework Ventures, a leading Web3 VC firm, is optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency regulation. According to Brandon Potts, a principal at the firm, regulators are now much more educated about the crypto industry than they were in the past.
Speaking to Decrypt’s Jason Nelson at ETH Denver, Potts discussed his investment focus and his outlook on the current regulatory landscape. Despite the recent bear market and regulatory actions, Potts remains optimistic about the industry’s future.
“We’re optimistic that regulators are much more educated about the space than they were in the past,” Potts said. “We’re seeing a lot more engagement from regulators, and we’re seeing a lot more thoughtful regulation being proposed.”
Potts also discussed Framework Ventures’ investment focus, which is centered around Web3 infrastructure and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects. He believes that these areas have the potential to revolutionize the financial industry and create new opportunities for investors.
“We’re really excited about the potential of Web3 infrastructure and DeFi,” Potts said. “We think that these areas have the potential to disrupt traditional finance and create new opportunities for investors.”
Despite the challenges facing the crypto industry, Potts remains optimistic about its future. He believes that the industry will continue to grow and evolve, and that investors who are willing to take risks and embrace new technologies will be well-positioned to benefit from this growth.
“We’re still in the early days of this industry, and there’s a lot of potential for growth and innovation,” Potts said. “We’re excited to be a part of this industry, and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds.”
