Shipfinex, a maritime finance startup, has secured $1.5 million in seed funding for their blockchain-enabled fractional ownership of maritime assets. This funding will help democratize maritime finance. The funding comes from Gaurav Mehta, chairman of Best Oasis Limited and Dubai-based SPM Shipping DMCC.
Shipfinex is working on providing more accessible maritime finance options for investors and making maritime finance more accessible to the general public.
