The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has seized the phone and electronics of Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan. The New York Post reports that FBI agents raided Coplan’s home at 6:00 am on Wednesday, following allegations that the betting market platform predicted the 2024 US election results. The FBI took Coplan’s items, but did not detain him, and he has not commented publicly on the situation.
The New York Post claims that the government is likely trying to accuse Polymarket of market manipulation and rigging its polls in favor of Trump.
