The Ethereum Foundation (EF) recently released a report for 2024, detailing their asset reserves. As of October 31, 2024, the EF held approximately US$970.2 million in assets, with US$788.7 million in crypto assets and US$181.5 million in non-crypto investments. The majority (99.45%) of their crypto holdings are ETH, which represents 0.26% of the total ETH supply on October 31, 2024.
The EF believes in the potential of Ethereum and plans to use their ETH holdings to support important public products within the Ethereum ecosystem in the coming years. To achieve this, the EF must follow conservative fiscal management policies to ensure adequate resources during market downturns. This involves regular sales of ETH to maintain sufficient reserves and increasing their fiat reserves during bull markets to fund spending in bear markets.
