Elon Musk has won a legal battle against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley refused the SEC’s request to sanction Musk for skipping a meeting to watch one of his rocket launches instead. The judge said there was no need to sanction Musk as he had already agreed to reimburse the Commission $2,923 to cover airfare for the three agency lawyers.
Musk also joked about the SEC in a post on X (previously known as Twitter). This is the second legal battle Musk has won in a week, as investors in the Dogecoin manipulation lawsuit withdrew their appeal against him and Tesla. Additionally, US President-elect Donald Trump secured a major legal victory as his sentencing hearing in his hush-money case was delayed.
