On November 5, a senior federal cyber official stated that there were some disruptions in voting due to extreme weather and other temporary infrastructure issues in some areas of the United States during the elections. However, no “nationally significant incident that affects the security of our election infrastructure” has been reported.

County election officials claim that they have procedures in place to deal with such issues and that the glitch should not prevent voters from voting in their own precincts.
