A recent survey from San Salvador University Francisco Gavidia has found that only 7.5% of Salvadorans use cryptocurrency for transactions, despite the country making Bitcoin legal tender in 2021
.The survey also found that only 1.3% of people thought Bitcoin should be the country’s main bet for the future

Despite the lack of widespread adoption, President Nayib Bukele has continued to invest in Bitcoin and promote foreign investment in the country.
