Dogecoin Surges Overtakes XRP as 7th-Largest Cryptocurrency

Ripple’s native token, XRP, has seen a 10% daily surge and is now above $0.6, surpassing Dogecoin as the 7th-largest cryptocurrency in the market. However, Dogecoin’s price has also increased considerably, rising by 19% in the past day and breaking above $0.24 for the first time since late 2021. Over the past 30 days, DOGE’s price has skyrocketed by over 120%.

Dogecoin’s current market cap of almost $36 billion has now put it in the 7th position, surpassing XRP. This comes as Ripple has had a notable performance in the past day, pushing it to over $0.6 for the first time in weeks. Analysts have speculated about an upcoming “meme coin supercycle” that could lead to even more impressive gains for the niche.

SHIB, for example, has surged by 25% and is trading above $0.000024. The potential resolution of the ongoing legal case between Ripple and the SEC could impact XRP’s performance. Additionally, if Trump follows through on his promise to fire SEC Chair Gary Gensler, this could lead to a faster conclusion.
