Crypto Venture Capital Firms Raise Over $2.2 Billion in New Capital This Year

A recent report from BlockBeats highlights the remarkable success of crypto venture capital firms in raising capital in 2023. According to PitchBook data, these firms have collectively raised over $2.2 billion through closed-end funds as of August.

In the past few weeks alone, at least six venture capital firms have raised over $500 million in total. Some notable examples include:

  • ParaFi Capital’s $120 million fund
  • Borderless Capital’s $100 million fund
  • Hack VC’s $77 million fund
  • Robot Ventures’ $75 million fund

In addition to these recent raises, several funds are actively seeking new capital this year. One notable example is Dragonfly Capital, which is seeking to raise $500 million for its new fund and has already secured half of that amount, according to Bloomberg.

This surge in capital raises is a testament to the growing confidence and optimism in the crypto industry. The influx of new capital will likely have a significant impact on the market, driving innovation and growth in the space.
