Crypto Prices Soar: Bitcoin Reaches $99K, Ethereum and Solana Gain, and XRP Surges by 25% in 24 Hours

The cryptocurrency market experienced a bullish day on November 22, with Bitcoin (BTC) reaching $99,000 for the first time, and Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) surging by 9% and 12%, respectively. XRP climbed by 25%, and the global crypto market cap increased by 6% to $3.26 trillion. In the past 24 hours, total trading volume skyrocketed by 41% to $251 billion.

Top cryptocurrencies by market cap, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP, showed bullish sentiment, with XRP’s surge fueled by news that Gary Gensler may step down as US SEC Chair in January 2025. Bitcoin gained approximately 5%, trading at $98,683, with a market cap of $1.95 trillion. Ethereum surged 9% to $3,331, with a market cap of $400 billion.

Solana (SOL) increased by 12%, reaching $261, and the XRP price jumped by 25% to $1.36. Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB) gained 6% and nearly 7%, respectively, while other meme coins like PEPE, BONK, and WIF saw gains between 6% and 13%. FTX Token (FTT) jumped by 34%, and Optimism (OP) increased by 24%.

Several other cryptocurrencies saw fluctuations during the bullish day, including FLOKI, which fell by 5%, and Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT), which decreased by 3%. Both Bitcoin and Ethereum’s hourly charts were positive, with each showing a 1% increase. The overall crypto market appears bullish, with record-high trading volume and market cap.

Investors should be aware of potential volatility amid weekly options expiry.
